THE
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COMMISSIONED TRAVEL AGENTS is set
to raise its dues within a few weeks, although President Joanie Ogg
said the amount has not been determined. Currently, individuals pay
$125 to join and $85 annually to renew; home-based agencies pay
$195 and $155, respectively. For host agencies, a bare-bones
membership category, involving only a listing at the NACTA Web
site, has been eliminated, leaving a single category that carries
an entry and annual renewal rate currently of $195.
AT-HOME
AGENTS who book high-end groups are eligible for bonus
commissions and travel incentives if they qualify as top producers
for Intrav's 2006 Private Jet Collection. The company said
home-based agents must have an Iatan or CLIA ID number in order to
make bookings. Intrav's portfolio, which features upscale amenities
in the air and top-rated destinations, is geared to groups of up to
44 members. The product line is at www.intrav.com. Retailers can talk to Intrav's
private jet coordinator, Kerry Ghormley, at (888)
576-6811.
