TRAVEL
COUNSELLORS, the largest operator of systems for
home-based agents in the U.K., has entered the U.S. market with the
creation of Travel Counsellors LLC in Orlando. Travel packages will
be sold exclusively through its home-based affiliates via a
proprietary booking system. The upfront fee to join, $495, will be
waived for any agent who has the Travel Institutes CTC designation
and the cruise lines MCC accreditation. Joiners without those
credentials are required to commit to obtain both within 12 months.
The requirements, the company said, are meant to differentiate us
from the card mills.
