A higher plane in Hong Kong

Long flights can take a toll on the body, leaving you sore from being sedentary for so long and tired from the lack of a good night's sleep. With that in mind, Cathay Pacific created a yoga and meditation space at the Pier Business Class lounge at Hong Kong Airport.

The Sanctuary is a 700-square-foot area divided into two zones, one for yoga and one for meditation. On my return from the Abercrombie & Kent wellness trip and still in a wellness mindset, I was able to visit the lounge and follow along with a video of guided yoga exercises designed to improve circulation.

Afterward, I headed over to the mind sanctuary, where I settled down with my noise-canceling headphones and participated in a guided meditation session. Between the stretches, the soothing meditation and a quick drink at the lounge's noodle bar, I was ready for the nearly 16-hour flight home.
