Effective May 8, vaccinated travelers entering Barbados will benefit from a reduced quarantine time after they arrive, if they can provide a vaccination certificate from AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

This change is a result of the global ongoing vaccination process, and Barbados becomes the first Caribbean country to tweak its entry protocols for vaccinated travelers.

However, even vaccinated visitors still must provide proof of a negative PCR test result taken three days prior to travel, take a second PCR test upon arrival and use designated transportation to their approved accommodation.

Quarantine time for vaccinated travelers has been reduced to one or two days, during which they are free to move around in accordance with the guidelines of the approved property.

Unvaccinated travelers, or those from or who have transited through a country where certain variants of Covid-19 are of concern to Barbados, must provide a negative PCR test taken three days prior to arrival, use a designated transportion provider, quarantine in their room for five to seven days and take second test five days after arrival.

Children under 18 traveling with vaccinated guardians are allowed to adhere to vaccinated travel guidelines.

Until May 8, Barbados' current protocols remain in effect for all incoming U.S. travelers: complete the online Immigration and Custom form 24 hours before arrival at travel form.gov.bb, submit proof of a negative PCR test taken three days before travel, take a rapid antigen test upon arrival, quarantine in-room for five to seven days  at an approved hotel, villa or guesthouse and take a second PCR test on day five.
