The 335-room Club Med Miches on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, 75 minutes north of Punta Cana, will open on Nov. 23, a week earlier than previously announced.

The resort will be the first in Miches, in El Seibo province. As the first resort in that region, it has secured a 2,000-foot-long beach area, much as Club Med Punta Cana did when it opened in 1978 on a prime stretch of undeveloped shoreline.

The all-inclusive resort offers accommodations in four "villages." The property will house three restaurants, four bars, a beach lounge, three wine cellars and a coffee shops.

As far as activities go, it includes a wellness program and the Cinq Mondes spa, four pools, an assortment of family programs for guests staying in two of the four villages and a variety of off-site excursions for all guests.

Reservations are open.
