Dominica's National Development Corp.
relaunched the Caribbean island's Web site, DiscoverDominica.com.
The site provides information about Dominica as an eco-tourism
and adventure travel destination.
Enhancements to the site include interactive maps, streaming
video, downloadable screensavers, e-postcards and a live webcam
from Dominica's north coast.
The site also features information about
what to see and do and where to stay and dine, a calendar of
events, vacation packages and island news.
"Dominica is continuing to grow as an
eco-tourism and adventure destination, and our online presence will
reflect that position," said Yvor Nassief, minister of tourism,
industry and private sector relations.
The Web site will serve as a tool to
assist in building public awareness, Nassief said.
"Its design and features will effectively
differentiate us from some of our primary competitors," he
said.
