The 597-room Holiday Inn Resort Aruba, the largest hotel in Aruba, will complete its $20 million refurbishment by mid-December.
Highlights include the addition of a new pool and Jacuzzi, a redesigned lobby area, new dining options, a new spa and fitness center, and makeover of all guestrooms.
The project began in September 2012 with a temporary closure and redo of the 215-room Sea Tower.
Renovation of the 199-room Ocean and 183-room Palm towers followed.
The resort's three restaurants have been redone, while Pizza Now, the Oceanside Bar & Grill and the Palm Bar in the main lobby have been added.
"Holiday Inn is a familiar and trusted name in Aruba. InterContinental Hotel Group stepped up to the plate in remaking the resort into a sophisticated property that aligns with Aruba's standing as a first-class destination," said Jorge Landa, the hotel's general manager.
