Rodney Bay Marina in St. Lucia is on schedule to reopen in December after the completion of a multimillion-dollar renovation.
The yacht facility will offer 248 berths, including a pier with 32 slips for yachts up to 250 feet long. Rodney Bay Marina also will have new shops and restaurants and on-site customs and immigration services.
"Business at the marina for the winter season is projected to have the equivalent impact of more than 115,000 hotel room nights, which could translate into more than $20 million in spending on St. Lucia," said Cuthbert Didier, the marina's general manager.
Rodney Bay Marina was acquired in early 2007 by Island Global Yachting, a Fort Lauderdale-based company that owns, develops and manages marinas and surrounding real estate.
