Carnival Cruise Lines has created a virtual "Travel Partner Toolbox," designed to enable agents to access trade support and sales resources faster and easier through Carnival's travel agent portal, GoCCL.com.
Created from retailer feedback and with input from Carnival's travel partner advisory committee, the toolbox contains existing sales tools along with new features such an agent rewards program, a centralized area for product updates, revised group-deposit policies and new print marketing materials.
The rewards program enables agents to earn and redeem points toward a variety of Carnival-branded gifts, gift cards and Apple iPads. Points are earned by creating new bookings and servicing existing bookings on GoCCL.com, completing Carnival Cruise Lines University training and participating in fams and ship visits.
The product-update section in the portal is now a centralized location for information on itinerary changes and details/features on new ships. This section also has "interactive itineraries," where agents can click on a Carnival departure point and find out more details regarding sailings from that port.
Carnival on Sept. 21 is sending an "e-mmercial" to retailers, detailing the contents of the new toolbox.
