Cruise lines offer Wave season incentives: Travel Weekly

Cruise lines are offering a series of incentives for travel agents to book during Wave season, including bonus commissions and free trips.

Silversea Cruises is offering a $200 bonus commission per cabin to travel agents in the U.S. and Canada who make a new reservation before March 31, 2011, on any Silversea cruise departing on or before June 30, 2011.

The $200 bonus commission is applied per booking, not per cruise, and may only be used once on combination bookings.

Norwegian Cruise Line is giving away a seven-day cruise for two in a balcony cabin, every two weeks, to agents who book qualifying cruises through March 27.

In addition, NCL is giving away one $100 and one $50 American Express gift card every two weeks.

During a Wave season contest related to its "View & Verandah Sale," Holland America Line will give away a seven-day Alaska cruise for two sailing roundtrip from Seattle, a 10- to 12-day Northern Europe cruise for two and a seven-day Bermuda cruise for two.

Running through Feb. 28, 2011, every deposited booking automatically enters travel sellers in a contest for one of the three cruises.
