Disney Cruise Line will add a family restaurant themed to
the movie and theater show "Tangled" on the Disney Magic.
To be called Rapunzel's Royal Table, the restaurant will
replace Carioca's, a South America-inspired restaurant introduced in 2013.
"Guests will step inside a regal ballroom in the royal
castle, lit by glowing wish lanterns and adorned with colorful drawings that
reflect Rapunzel's artistic talents. Here, the King and Queen of Corona invite
everyone to take part in a festive celebration of Rapunzel's birthday and the
anniversary of her return to the kingdom," Disney said.
Disney said dinner at Rapunzel's will include live
entertainment, "including spirited singing and dancing led by the maitre d',
a merry band of musicians, the mischievous Snuggly Duckling Thugs and, of
course, Princess Rapunzel herself."
The restaurant will have themed menus, special activities
and a lively parade at the finish of the dinner, Disney said.
The new restaurant will debut on sailings from Miami
starting March 9, 2018, following a drydock renovation. Disney will also redesign the Vibe
teens club into a "trendy urban loft environment" with a new coffee and
smoothie bar. The Cove Cafe and Signals bar in Disney Magic's adults-only area
will be redesigned in a "sophisticated tropical style."
The refurb will also include a redesigned Rainforest Room
with steam and hydrotherapy in the Senses Spa. The ship will add Club Disney
Junior in the Oceaneer Club.
