A late-night fire on Princess
Cays on Jan. 28 engulfed several infrastructure support buildings on the
Bahamian island of Eleuthera. Princess Cays is Princess Cruises' private destination in the Bahamas.
No one was injured in the
blaze, which took about an hour to extinguish, Princess said.
The Carnival Pride will move
its Jan. 30 call to nearby Half Moon Cay.
According to reports in the
Bahamian press, a generator house, reverse osmosis water plant, mechanic shop
and tool shed were destroyed.
