LOS ANGELES -- Princess Cruises' new Grand Princess will be fitted
with a wedding chapel and offer the only at-sea program that
enables passengers to be married by the ship's captain, the line
said.
Princess' wedding program includes a selection of ceremony and
reception packages that begin at $1,400. The price covers fees for
the ceremony; the registration; an official marriage certificate;
music; hors d'oeuvres; flowers; a photo package; a video recording
of the ceremony; champagne, and a wedding cake.
Although the cruise is commissionable, the wedding packages are
not.
Marriages aboard the ship will be performed by the captain under
the authority of the ship's registry and are legal unions.
The 109,000-ton ship is set to debut in May as the largest and
most expensive cruise ship in the world.
