Princess Cruises said the Lotus Spa on the new Royal Princess will feature the Enclave, a thermal suite featuring a hydrotherapy pool.
The 3,600-passenger Royal Princess enters service in June, and will sail Mediterranean cruises in summer 2013.
Besides the hydrotherapy pool, the Enclave will offer the Hammam (a Turkish-style steam room), the Caldarium (an herbal steam room) and the Laconium (a dry-heat sauna).
The Lotus Spa on Royal Princess will have 18 treatment rooms, including two Couples Villas with side-by-side massage tables, a whirlpool bath and a sitting area with ocean views.
The spa’s salon will offer a “social” nail bar with side-by-side stations and private teeth-whitening stations with individual TVs.
Princess said the new spa will be triple the size of spas on other Princess ships.
