With Irma coming, NCL closes headquarters and cancels another cruise

|

Norwegian Cruise Line said its headquarters in the western part of Miami-Dade County closed on Thursday afternoon and won't reopen until Hurricane Irma passes.

Key staff members are being relocated out of Miami and the storm zone. Norwegian said its call centers will be operating remotely, so hold times may be longer than normal.

Norwegian said travel agents should use the dedicated booking portal on NCLU and guests can view their booking information on the My NCL portal.

Also, the line's departure of the Norwegian Sky to Cuba on Sept. 11 is the latest voyage to be cancelled because of Hurricane Irma.

Guests on the four-day trip will get a full refund and a 50% future cruise credit.

Previously, Norwegian cancelled the Sept. 8 sailing of the Sky and the Sept. 9 departure of the Norwegian Escape.
