The Norwegian Epic, currently under construction in France, will make its inaugural transatlantic cruise on June 24.

The 4,200-passenger ship will depart Southampton, England, and arrive in New York on July 1. A seven-day Caribbean cruise has been added to the Norwegian Epic’s inaugural season, departing Miami on July 10, one week earlier than previously scheduled.

The added Caribbean cruise will stop in St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Nassau, Bahamas. This cruise goes on sale to the public Sept. 28.

Customers booked on the Norwegian Epic’s July 17 cruise will have priority to switch to the new sailing date if they call NCL at (866) 234-5609 to make the change by Sept. 25.

The Norwegian Epic’s 2010-11 Caribbean cruises are open for sale. The ship’s alternating eastern and western Caribbean itineraries, available as seven-day individual sailings or 14-day combined sailings, are available through April 2011.
