Royal Caribbean International has teamed with a well-known
developer of personality profiles to create a test for potential cruisers.
The 13-question quiz, at MyAdventurePersonality.com, is
designed to tell travelers whether they are "spontaneous sightseers,"
"laidback wanderers," or another type based on the methodology
supplied by CPP -- The Myers-Briggs Co.
After completing the online survey, quiz takers receive a description
of who they are as a traveler, along with insight into destinations and activities
that best suit them, Royal Caribbean said.
"Vacations are one of the few times in life we're truly
allowed to focus on ourselves, so the more we know about our own personality
type, the more relaxing and fun we can make them," said Jeff Hayes, CEO of
CPP -- The Myers-Briggs Co.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment was developed in
1943 and is a popular evaluation tool in corporate HR departments. It is
derived from a theory of personality developed by Swiss psychologist Carl Jung.
