Seabourn shortened its Alaska cruises to comply with the CDC's seven-day cap on cruise itinerary lengths and will offer a season of weeklong sailings on the Seabourn Odyssey from May to September.
The line's 18 seven-day sailings will operate one way between Vancouver and Juneau, Alaska, and back. The Alaska and Canada Inside Passage cruises will feature a mix of Glacier Bay National Park, Hubbard Glacier and Tracy/Endicott Arm.
The cruises will replace a series of 10- and 11-day Alaska sailings the line had scheduled in 2021 in order to comply with the CDC's Oct. 30 order that that once a ship is certified to sail, cruises be restricted to seven days or fewer.
That requirement may be shortened or lengthened based on public health considerations, the CDC said.
The Odyssey's first cruise is currently scheduled to depart Vancouver on May 28. The last will depart Juneau on Sept. 10.
