The coastal cruise ship St. Laurent, which was damaged in a lock collision in June, is set to resume service on July 14, its operator said.
Haimark Line said the 200-passenger ship will make its scheduled nine-day voyage from Chicago to Montreal with some "minor modifications" to the itinerary.
The ship left the Verreault Shipyard in Le Mechins, Quebec, on July 12, and guests will meet it in Mackinac island two days into their trip. The guests will overnight in Chicago and travel by coach to Holland, Mich., with an overnight at the historic Inn at Bay Harbor, before proceeding to Mackinac, a spokeswoman said.
On June 21, the St. Laurent collided with a concrete wall bumper while going through the Eisenhower Lock on the St. Lawrence Seaway, injuring 19 passengers and three crew members.
Two cruises were cancelled while the damages were repaired.
