Industry sources have confirmed that two top sales executives at Silversea Cruises left the company Tuesday.
Silversea declined to comment on the departures of David Morris, Silversea's executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, and Marilyn Conroy, its senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas, both of whom are said to have left suddenly yesterday.
Both Conroy and Morris were based in Silversea's South Florida offices, ultimately reporting to the line's Monaco-based CEO, Amerigo Perasso.
Silversea is expected to make an announcement regarding the positions later today. Rumors are rampant that Ken Watson, who resigned as executive vice president of sales and marketing for Regent Seven Seas Cruises effective March 31, would be named COO at Silversea.
Morris and Conroy have spent two decades working together in the luxury cruise segment; at Cunard Line and then Crystal Cruises before joining forces at Silversea, where Morris landed in 2003 and Conroy in 2004.
