Victory Cruise Lines
president and CEO Bruce Nierenberg said the small-ship operator has obtained
authority from the Cuban government to cruise to Cuba.
Nierenberg said that he is in Havana to negotiate port specifics.
Miami-based Victory
has a single 202-passenger coastal cruiser that previously sailed for the
defunct Haimark Line as the St. Laurent. It is well suited for
cruises around the island to smaller ports such as Cienfuegos, Trinidad, and
Santiago de Cuba, Victory has said.
