Viking Ocean Cruises took delivery of its sixth ship, the Viking Jupiter, at a ceremony at Fincantieri's shipyard in Ancona, Italy.

The 930-passenger ship will depart on Feb. 16 on Viking's first "Journey to Antiquities" itinerary, a new route sailing between Athens and Civitavecchia (Rome) offering guests the chance to experience the Mediterranean during the quiet season. The ship will officially be named in Oslo, Norway, on June 6 by godmother Sissel Kyrkjebo, an acclaimed Norwegian soprano.

The Viking Jupiter was preceded by five nearly identical siblings: Viking Star, Sea, Sky, Sun and Orion.

Ten additional ships are planned for delivery, starting in 2021.
