The Scarlet Lady will be joined by a
Valiant Lady.
Virgin Voyages revealed the name of its second ship and said
sales for the Valiant Lady will open in one month.
The ship is scheduled to debut in May 2021. It will sail
three seven-night itineraries in the Mediterranean, all including an overnight
stop in Ibiza.
Virgin said the Valiant Lady will make its European homeport
in Barcelona at the World Trade Center Barcelona dock within walking distance
of Las Ramblas. Cruises will depart on a Sunday to facilitate pre-cruise stays
in Barcelona.
One itinerary features mostly Spanish ports, including
Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and Gibraltar.
Two others provide a broader sampling of the Med. One
includes Monte Carlo, Marseille and Olbia, in Sardinia. The other stops in Toulon,
France; Ajaccio, Corsica; Marina di Carrara, Italy; and Cagliari, Sardinia, in
addition to the nightlife hot spot of Ibiza.
Virgin said the Valiant Lady will continue Virgin Voyages' 'Scarlet
Squad' program aimed at recruiting, supporting and mentoring female shipboard
talent.
