Windstar Cruises said it will resume year-round sailing in the Tahitian islands on Wind Spirit, starting May 26.

Itineraries will include the seven-day Tahitian trip that was offered when Windstar returned for the 2014 summer after a 10-year absence in the region, as well as a 10- or 11-day voyage that will include the Tuamotu Islands, known for diving and snorkeling excursions.

The longer itinerary will be offered four times in 2015 and seven times in 2016.

Prior to repositioning, Wind Spirit’s cabins will be renovated to feature a transformed seating area for relaxing on a sofa, as well as new, chic dressers and a more open layout.

Each cruise will feature Windstar’s new complimentary “private event" in Bora Bora, where guests are transported by catamaran to a private island for a traditional Tahitian dinner cooked largely in a Tahitian earth oven.
