A private tour of the Vatican, underground cave-trekking in Slovenia and a cooking class at Moulin de Mougins in Monte Carlo are among the offerings from Windstar Cruises' new Concierge Collection of Shore Excursions.
Windstar, which operates a three-ship fleet of luxury yachts, is featuring 28 such excursions in Corsica, Croatia, Greece, France, Italy, Monaco, Slovenia and Spain. They are limited to small groups of six to 25 guests and priced from $109 to $2,299 per person. The excursions can be booked in advance online at www.windstarcruises.com.
"We designed Windstar's Concierge Collection to appeal to our discerning guests who are looking for exclusive, unique excursions that celebrate the destinations we visit in a special way," said Diane Moore, Windstar president.
Several helicopter tours and flightseeing trips are among the activities newly rolled out by the line. Others include a private wine-tasting and tour in Rhodes, Greece; scuba diving at the Rock of Scilla, off Italy's coast; and a spa visit to "thermal water environments" in Tarragona, Spain.
