ATIA: Alaska quake won't shake 2003 tourism

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A magnitude 7.9 earthquake that rocked Alaska on Nov. 3 hasn't unseated major tourism initiatives -- mostly because tourism here is in the off-season.

A spokesman for the Alaska Travel Industry Association said the quake probably would not be a "significant impediment" to the summer 2003 season.
