NEW YORK -- Aggressor Fleet, the operator of live-aboard dive
vessels, and Oceanic, a diving equipment manufacturer, entered into
an agreement that will place the latest Oceanic diving gear and
technology aboard each of the 12 Aggressor live-aboard vessels
based around the world.
Oceanic president Barry Warner said the agreement is a "natural
coming together of two industry leaders."
Under the agreement, guests traveling aboard any Aggressor dive
vessel will have access to the latest diving gear and equipment
manufactured by Oceanic.
Officials at Aggressor Fleets said the agreement was part of the
company's efforts to "look at new ways to enhance the live-aboard
diving experience."
Among the destinations at which Aggressor Fleets operates are
the Cayman Islands, the Turks and Caicos Islands and the South
Pacific.
Several vessels currently feature digital imaging stations that
allow guests to e-mail images of their dives during their
voyage.
As part of the agreement, the two companies said they will work
on developing future trips with a scientific, environmental and
educational focus.
