BRIDGETOWN, Barbados ---The Best of Barbados extra-value promotion,
launched for the first time in May, will be reintroduced for spring
and summer travel.
There will be a $200 air credit on seven-night hotel stays and
five-night stays at inclusive resorts ($300 for early-bird
bookings), as well as discounts on activities and free hotel
nights.
The $300 air credit applies for bookings through March 1 for
stays from March 1 through April 11.
Travelers will receive the $200 air rebate when booking the Best
of Barbados summer 2003 package by July 31 for stays from April 26
through Dec. 14.
The program features a range of accommodations at 40 properties,
a free first-night stay, daily breakfast discounts on island tours,
submarine rides and golf.
Bill Silvermintz, vice president of marketing for the Americas
for the Barbados Tourism Authority, said that last year's promotion
"had proven to be the most successful travel promotion in the
Caribbean. We are confident the relaunch will result in continued
strong growth this year."
