NEW YORK -- Each of Celebrity Cruises' nine ships will sail the
Caribbean during the region's peak cruising season next year, and
two of the company's vessels will spend the entire year deployed on
Caribbean voyages.
Celebrity's diverse 2002 Caribbean sailings will offer
departures from Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Tampa, Fla.; New York,
and San Juan, with itineraries ranging from six to 17 days in
length.
Celebrity's 1,750-passenger Century will be based in Fort
Lauderdale. The ship will offer year-round, alternating eastern and
western Caribbean cruises departing Saturdays.
Western route ports of call include Ocho Rios, Jamaica;
Georgetown, Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico, and Key West, Fla.
Eastern itineraries visit San Juan; St. Thomas, U.S.Virgin
Islands.; St. Maarten, and Nassau, Bahamas.
Rates start at $799 per person.
Celebrity's 1,950-passenger Millennium will offer seasonal
Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale from Oct. 14 through March
31, and again from Nov. 10, 2002, to April 20, 2003. The series
will feature port calls at San Juan; Catalina Island, Dominican
Republic; St. Thomas, and Nassau. Fares start at $949 per
person.
Beginning Nov. 9, Celebrity's 1,374-passenger Horizon will offer
roundtrip sailings from Miami, one of the line's new departure
points, for a series of western Caribbean cruises designed to leave
the dock in Miami at the unusual departure time of 10 p.m. Ports of
call on Horizon's route include Key West, Grand Cayman and
Progreso, Mexico. Rates start at $699 per person.
Two Celebrity ships will offer Caribbean departures from Tampa
in 2001 and 2002.
From Nov. 11 to April 14, the 1,374-passenger Zenith will depart
Tampa on Sundays. The Horizon will also sail from Tampa beginning
Nov. 3, 2002.
Ports of call on both series include Key West; Costa Maya and
Cozumel in Mexico, and Grand Cayman. Fares start at $699 per
person.
Celebrity's 1,870-passenger Mercury will end 2002 with a
roundtrip western Caribbean series departing from Miami on Fridays
at 10 p.m., beginning Nov. 29.
Ports of call on this series include Grand Cayman, Cozumel,
Progreso and Key West. Fares start at $799 per person.
Celebrity's southern Caribbean routes for 2002 will include a
weekly series departing from San Juan aboard the 1,870-passenger
Galaxy.
Beginning in January, the ship will sail to St. Kitts, St.
Thomas, Barbados and Aruba, with rates starting at $749 per person.
The series continues through April 12.
Celebrity's 1,950-passenger Infinity will join Galaxy in San
Juan for weekly Saturday night departures from Jan. 5 to April 20.
Ports of call include St. Croix, St. Lucia, Barbados, Antigua and
St. Thomas. Rates start at $949 per person.
Celebrity's newest ship, the 1,900-passenger Constellation,
which launches next spring, will complete its inaugural season with
seven-night southern Caribbean cruises from San Juan, beginning
Nov. 15, 2002.
Constellation will depart at 11 p.m. on Fridays and visit St.
Thomas, St. Kitts, Barbados and Aruba. Fares start at $949 per
person.
