ST. PETERSBURG BEACH, Fla. -- The Don CeSar Beach Resort & Spa
here joined Loews Hotels in December and was renamed the Don CeSar
Beach Resort & Spa, a Loews Hotel.
The 75-year-old, 277-room property, which is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places, will be managed by Loews
under a contract with its owner, Connecticut General Life Insurance
Co.
The addition of the Gulf Coast beachfront hotel brings the Loews
portfolio to 19 properties, five in Florida.
Nicknamed "Florida's Pink Palace," the property is designed with
Moorish-influenced bell towers and turrets. The resort offers
40,000 square feet of meetings space and a full-service spa.
