Europe traffic up despite unrest

U.S. traffic to Europe from January through July 1999, was up 5% compared with 1998, despite the conflict in Yugoslavia last spring, according to the European Travel Commission.

Arrivals during the seven-month period reached 6.85 million, continuing the trend of record U.S. traffic to Europe during the past seven years.
