LAS VEGAS -- The fourth annual Las Vegas Odyssey, a celebration of
food, wine and the arts, will be held Nov. 6 to 9 at the Las Vegas
Hilton and the Lake Las Vegas Resort.
The event is billed as a one-of-a-kind culinary adventure known
for its intimate venues that offer attendees the chance to meet
famous chefs.
This year's schedule features some new events, including a
culinary art show; Vegas Meets Gatsby: A Hamptons-Inspired
Luncheon, Cabernet & Chocolates Tasting that will benefit the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; and a lobster bake and beach
party.
Other events include High Roller Wine Tasting; Mediterranean
Mystery Unlocked, a four-course luncheon and cooking demonstration;
Dinner With the Masters, featuring 10 of the city's most famous
chefs; a Blues Brunch with Chef Russell Grabe; and an auction
fund-raiser.
Besides the Hilton, event venues include MonteLago Village at
Lake Las Vegas, the La Contessa yacht at Lake Las Vegas, House of
Blues Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Lake Las
Vegas Southshore Yacht & Beach Club, and the Ritz-Carlton Lake
Las Vegas, the Odyssey's host property that will offer event-goers
discount room rates during the weekend.
Individual tickets can be purchased for each event and range
from $100 to $300 per person.
An optional roundtrip helicopter ride between the Lake Las Vegas
Resort and the Mandalay Bay for the Blues Brunch costs $275 per
person.
Ticket packages, commissionable to travel agents at 10%, also
are available for multiple events.
A four-day VIP plan, which includes admission to all of the
events plus a helicopter ride and VIP martini tasting with Las
Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, runs $1,200 per person.
The Weekend Getaway package, which features admission to five
events, costs $695 per person.
