Hilton Grand to build Las Vegas time-share resort

LAS VEGAS -- Hilton Grand Vacations Co., based in Orlando, plans to develop a 33-story vacation ownership resort here.

The project will be the third Hilton Grand Vacations Club resort in Las Vegas. Hilton Grand Vacations Club at the Flamingo and Hilton Grand Vacations Club at the Las Vegas Hilton opened in 1993 and 1999, respectively.

Construction on the 1,500-unit resort, which will be on Las Vegas Boulevard at the north end of the Strip, is set to begin this summer.

The project will include one-, two- and three-bedroom villas as well as upgraded penthouse villas atop each tower.

Each villa will offer a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, living and dining areas and a private master suite.

The grounds will feature fountains and swimming pools.

The completion of the first of four development phases is planned for early 2003.

Pre-opening vacation ownership sales are scheduled to begin in spring 2002.

Hilton Grand Vacations pays agents 10% commission for bookings.
