KAANAPALI -- Classic Resorts' flagship condominium property here,
the Kaanapali Alii, is offering a room and car package, a romance
package and a wedding ceremony through most of this year.
Travel agents earn 10% commission on the packages and wedding
ceremonies as well as nightly rates.
The luxury resort, nestled on the beach between the Marriott and
Westin hotels, offers gigantic units ranging from 1,500 square feet
to 1,900 square feet. It is one of five condominium properties on
Maui and the Big Island managed by Classic Resorts.
The Kaanapali Alii has one- and two-bedroom units and
two-bedroom suites. The one-bedroom units can accommodate up to
four; the two bedroom units and suites can accommodate up to
six.
With a three-night minimum stay, the resort is offering a
one-bedroom gardenview unit with a rental car for $270 per night
through Dec. 19.
The Kaanapali Alii also has a Swept Away on Maui package
starting at $1,935 for a one-bedroom unit for five nights. The plan
includes a bottle of champagne, a luau for two and a rental
car.
The package is good throughout 2002, based on availability. The
resort also offers a seventh night free.
Through April 5 and from June 22 through Aug. 23, nightly rates
with a three-night minimum stay range from $325 per night to $850,
depending on the category of room.
From April 6 through June 21 and from Aug. 24 through Dec. 19,
rates range from $300 per night to $850.
Although the resort has no restaurant, guests can dine at
restaurants at the Marriott or Westin or at David Paul's Lahaina
Grill in Lahaina (a 10-minute drive), sign the check and have the
charge placed on their resort bill.
The resort also offers wedding and vow renewal packages
commissionable at 10%.
A $600 vow or wedding package includes a ceremony on the beach
performed by a minister, two leis and a giant lei that circles
around the couple.
A $1,200 vow renewal or wedding package includes the minister,
the leis plus a musician, a photographer who will supply the couple
with 18 color prints and a bottle of champagne.
