LAS VEGAS -- MGM Grand Adventures, a seasonal outdoor entertainment
complex located at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino here, will reopen
for spring break on April 15.
The theme park, which features entertainment, dining and shops,
will be open through April 30. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
daily.
Admission of $15 includes unlimited access to all rides and
shows except the SkyScreamer, a ride in which riders pull their own
rip cord and plummet into a free-fall at speeds of up to 70
mph.
From May 6 to June 4, the park will be open on weekends only at
a cost of $12.95.
The price covers unlimited access to the theme park's rides,
except for the SkyScreamer.
During the summer, the park will be open Memorial Day and from
June 10 to Aug. 20. Summer hours also are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
daily.
From Aug. 26 to Sept. 4, the park will be open weekends
only.
Admission to the park during the summer is $12.95.
Park fees including admission to the SkyScreamer, said to be the
world's largest sky coaster, range from $25 to $35.
Park visitors who choose to ride the SkyScreamer solo pay $35.
The cost for two riders is $30 each, and three riders pay $25
each.
In addition to rides, the park features dancers and characters
wandering within the Grandmosphere section of the attraction.
Restaurants in the park include Burger King and Nathan's Famous
Hotdogs. Actors, singers, gymnasts and comedians perform at several
park theaters, including Pirates Cove and the Gold Rush
Theatre.
The park also features various coin-operated games and
attractions, including miniature remote-control boats, basketball
hoops and a shooting gallery. Attractions also include bumper boats
and a free-floating raft called Grand Canyon Rapids.
