KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Station Casinos debuted the latest addition
to its lineup of properties here last month.
Station Casino Kansas City held its grand opening celebration
and ribbon cutting Jan. 16, with HBO's professional boxing
announcer Michael Buffer serving as master of ceremonies and Kenny
Rogers christening the property's 1,400-seat theater.
With 140,000 square feet of gaming space, Station Casino Kansas
City is the fourth-largest casino in the country.
The gaming facility offers 3,000 slot machines and 190 gaming
tables.
In addition to the casino action, the property offers
accommodations in a 200-room hotel; 12 restaurants; 11 bars and
lounges; Kids Quest, a supervised child-care facility, and numerous
live entertainment venues.
The property's 1,400-seat Grand Pavilion is a Las Vegas-style
showroom spotlighting headline entertainment and sporting
events.
Station Casino Kansas City also is constructing an 18-screen
movie theater complex operated by ACT III Theatres as well as a
5,700-square-foot video arcade and midway operated by Sega
GameWorks.
The new additions are scheduled to open in April.
Las Vegas-based Station Casinos owns and operates three
hotel-casinos in the gaming and entertainment mecca: Palace
Station, Boulder Station and Texas Station.
The company is building its fourth Las Vegas property, Sunset
Station Hotel & Casino, which is scheduled to open in July.
