During a three-night stay in Kuwait, which includes a festive
welcoming party, tour members visit the Kuwait Oil Co. and the
Burgan oil fields, which were made famous during the Persian Gulf
war, as well as the Tareq Rajab Museum.Bahrain sightseeing focuses on the island's great antiquities,
such as the Bahrain Fort; the 100,000 burial mounds, which make up
the world's largest necropolis, and artifacts housed in the
National Museum.When visiting Qatar, travelers will stay in Doha and visit the
National Museum, once the palace of Qatar's ruler, as well as the
Ethnographic Museum, which is a traditional Qatari house.In the United Arab Emirates, tour members will stay in the
capital of Abu Dhabi, a modern city of palaces, sprawling gardens
and mosques.Sightseeing stops include several palaces and visits to a dhow
boat building center and Batina, the old quarter of the city.
A three-night stay in Dubai is also included in the emirate
destinations, and sightseeing highlights the old spice and gold
souks and the museum, housed in a 150-year-old fort.Also from Dubai, tour members will drive to the neighboring
emirates of Sharjah and Ajman.
Four nights are spent in Muscat, Oman, at the famous Al Bustan
Palace, with visits to forts, museum, mosques, the Nizwa souk and a
full-day excursion with picnic lunch along the coast to Shab
