MIAMI --- Viva Resorts, which offers six inclusive, child-friendly
properties in the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Mexico,
launched the Viva Junior's Club, a program geared to the
often-neglected market of travelers between the ages of 13 and 18.
The chain already offers the Viva Kids Club, which has
supervised activities for youngsters ages 4 to 12 from 9 a.m. to 6
p.m.
With kids and teens enrolled in their respective clubs, parents
can enjoy their own quality time -- a win-win situation for
all.
Ettore Colussi, president of Viva Resorts, said Viva's Junior's
Club "was created in response to the growing demand from our family
clientele.
"Teenagers have their own special interests that often are quite
different from their younger siblings and parents. The new club
provides teens with a place to meet people their own age and enjoy
activities."
Enrollment in the Junior's Club is free as part of the firm's
inclusive vacation concept (enrollment in the Kids Club also is
free).
Each Viva resort will offer a weekly schedule of activities for
teens, such as beach volleyball and soccer. Off-property excursions
are offered for a nominal fee.
All Viva packages include accommodations, meals, unlimited
beverages, 24-hour snacks, fitness programs, water sports, the kids
and teen programs, taxes, tips and surcharges.
The Viva roster includes Viva Fortuna Beach, Grand Bahama
Island; Viva Dominicus Beach and Viva Dominicus Palace, both in La
Romana-Bayahibe, Dominican Republic; Viva Maya and Viva Azteca,
both in Mexico's Riviera Maya region; and Viva Vallarta, Mexico.
Coming in November is Viva Tangerine, in Cabarete, Dominican
Republic.
Viva recently entered into a strategic alliance with Wyndham
International to rebrand their resort properties as Viva Wyndham
Resorts.
Effective Dec. 1, the contact number for Viva will be (800)
WYNDHAM; the Web site will be at www.wyndham.com.
