Portugal reopens to U.S. leisure travelers

Portugal today joined the growing list of European countries reopening to U.S. leisure travelers.

In a press release, Visit Portugal president Luis Araujo said that effective immediately, the country was open to all U.S. travelers who present proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours of departure, or a negative antigen test performed within 24 hours of departure.

Other European countries that have opened to U.S. travelers, with varying requirements for proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 tests, include Greece, Italy, France, Croatia, Spain, Iceland and Denmark.
