The Kulm Hotel St. Moritz unveiled a $6.8 million, seven-month room renovation Dec. 4.
Thirty-three rooms in the 150-year-old, five-star property — the first hotel to be built in Switzerland’s St. Moritz ski area—- were expanded into 26 rooms and suites with larger living areas. The suites were redesigned by interior design firm Pierre-Yves Rochon.
The renovation also expanded the hotel’s ski storage facility and added such amenities as built-in heating rods for helmets, gloves and boots.
A member of the Leading Hotels of the World, Kulm Hotel St. Moritz has 172 rooms; five restaurants; and the Kulm Spa St. Moritz, featuring an indoor pool with underwater music, saunas, a steam room, a Jacuzzi and a fully equipped gym and treatment rooms, all overlooking Lake St. Moritz.
The property also offers a Marmotta Kids’ Club, six conference rooms, the nine-hole Kulm Golf Course St. Moritz, three tennis courts, an ice skating rink and a curling field.
Other features include Cresta Run, a tobogganing track on the property’s grounds, and Kulm’s Sunny Bar, Switzerland’s oldest sports bar.
