Tauck is debuting a river cruise on the Rhone built around the culinary traditions of France.

The nine-night A Taste of France itinerary includes a two-night hotel stay and exploration of local food culture in Paris, including a visit to the Ecole de Cuisine culinary school of celebrity chef Alain Ducasse, followed by a seven-night river cruise through the Rhone Valley aboard Tauck's Swiss Emerald.

The new itinerary was created in collaboration with Illinois-based Churchill & Turen. (Owner Richard Turen writes the Reality Check column for Travel Weekly.)

Other highlights include a wine tasting in Beaujolais, a visit to Les Halles market in Lyon and a market visit with local chefs in Provence. The cruise is priced from $5,390 per person, double.
