Highgate, a New York-based real estate investment and hospitality management company, has named Kelly Sanders as its new vice president of operations for Hawaii.
Sanders will supervise the management of Highgate's roster of properties in the Aloha State, including the recently rebranded Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, Courtyard Waikiki Beach and Ambassador Hotel Waikiki.

Sanders joins Highgate after more than two decades with Starwood/Marriott. Most recently, he served as area general manager overseeing five properties in Hawaii: the Sheraton Waikiki, the Royal Hawaiian, Moana Surfrider, Sheraton Princess Kaiulani and Sheraton Maui. Sanders was also recently appointed to the board of the Hawaii Tourism Authority by Gov. David Ige.
