A lineup of top Hawaii chefs, including Hiro Mimura of Taormina, Robin Maii of Fete Hawaii and Jon Salcedo of RumFire, are booked to participate in the ninth annual Mangoes at the Moana Festival.

Eight chefs will participate in the ultimate mango throwdown, working to prepare the best mango-centric dish they can create. Additionally, Oahu-based bartenders like Micah Suderman of Azure Restaurant and Bar at the Royal Hawaiian will be whipping up mango-inspired cocktails.

Mangoes also includes cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, seminars, silent auction, baked goods, a community "best mango" contest and a farmers market.

The event is July 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Moana Surfrider on Waikiki and costs $55 if tickets are purchased by July 8, and $60 thereafter.
