The Pan Pacific Festival, which is entering its 39th year, will be held at various venues around Honolulu from June 8 to 10.

The three-day festival kicks off with a hoolaulea (block party) complete with live entertainment on multiple stages, a wide variety of food stalls, arts and crafts vendors and other activities. The celebration continues with performing arts showcases featuring cultural performances and demonstrations.

As part of the event, the 18th Annual Pan-Pacific Hula Festival will be held daily on Waikiki Beach featuring more than a dozen hula halau (schools), the majority from Japan. On Saturday evening, the Punahele Party will feature Maunalua, a multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Award winning band, that will perform live with hula schools at the event. The festival concludes with a colorful parade of lively costumes and performances by local and national high school bands and other groups marching along Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki.
