One of the most popular restaurants on Oahu, Duke's Waikiki at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort has been the island's sole Duke's location since it opened in 1992. But that's about to change: a second Duke's is coming to Oahu, opening on the island's west side sometime in 2028.
The new restaurant, Duke's at The Cove, will be located in the Ko Olina Resort, near the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina and Disney's Aulani Resort. The oceanfront eaterty will be the anchor restaurant at Waianiani at The Cove, a new hub for entertainment, dining and retail on the site of the former Paradise Cove Luau.
"Duke's at The Cove will be T S Restaurants' second new Hawaii location in more than 15 years, following the planned opening of Duke's Kona at the Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa in mid-2026," the company said in a statement. "The new restaurant will bring the celebrated Duke's dining experience closer to home for West Oahu residents, offering a gathering place that embodies the warmth, authenticity and aloha spirit that define the brand."
T S Restaurants owns 13 restaurants in Hawaii and California, including several Duke's establishments: Duke's Waikiki on Oahu, Duke's Beach House on Maui and Duke's Malibu and Duke's Huntington Beach in California. Duke's menu items include fish tacos, prime rib, macadamia nut and herb-crusted fresh fish, Kimo's original hula pie and the brand's signature mai tai.
Andy Starn, vice president of retail development at Kobayashi Group, one of The Cove's developers, thinks Duke's is a good fit for the island's west side. "Waianiani at The Cove will bring new energy and opportunity to West Oahu, and Duke's is an ideal addition to that vision," Starn said. "T S Restaurants' reputation for celebrating Hawaii's culture and people aligns perfectly with our goal of creating a destination that residents can take pride in."
