The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa has overhauled its food and beverage offerings, introducing two new restaurants and updating two existing dining and bar experiences.

New to the Kaanapali property is Isolana, an open-air dinner restaurant that combines Italian cooking with ingredients sourced from Hawaii farms and waters. The menu includes handmade pastas, crudo, seafood and meat dishes, with local ingredients such as Maui Nui venison, ulu, mushrooms and locally caught kanpachi. Among the dishes served are lasagna made with venison Bolognese and cacio e pepe with lobster.

The resort also opened Upena, a new breakfast restaurant offering a buffet with made-to-order omelets and waffles, island fruit, housemade pastries and local touches like guava jelly and lilikoi (passionfruit) curd. The restaurant's name means "fishing net" in Hawaiian, a reference to the area's history as a fishing village.

Overlooking Puu Kekaa, a sacred ridge formed by lava rock, The Sandbar lobby bar has introduced a new cocktail program featuring tropical flavors and locally produced spirits. Its drinks include Lele Kawa (the Hawaiian phrase for cliff jumping), inspired by the resort's nightly cliff-diving ceremony.

The Teppan-yaki Dan restaurant also received a refresh with a redesigned interior and semi-private teppan tables "that balance the lively energy of teppan-yaki with an intimate, sophisticated atmosphere that brings guests close to the action while encouraging connection," a news release said.

"This transformation is more than refreshed restaurants and bars," Kaleo Kenui, general manager of the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, said in the release. "Together with executive chef Mitchell Cooper, we set out to create a dining portfolio that feels both elevated and authentic -- from shared breakfasts and sunset cocktails overlooking the Pacific to memorable dinners that bring people together. Our new concepts honor the resort's connection to Puu Kekaa while ushering in an exciting chapter for one of Maui's most iconic destinations."
