Oahu’s World War II Valor in the Pacific Monument welcomed 1.7 million visitors in 2011, jumping 23% from a year earlier, according to a July 3 Pacific Business News report.
The destination, which includes the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, attracted the most visitors in the state last year, outpacing the runner-up, Oahu’s Dole Plantation, by about 200,000 people, the newspaper said.
Attendance at the Dole Plantation last year was up 15% year over year, according to the report.
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii’s third-largest visitor attraction a year ago, hosted 1.35 million guests, up 4% year over year.
