The Waimea Town Celebration, Kauai's largest and oldest annual festival, is getting ready to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
From Feb. 18 to 25, Waimea Town will bustle with activities, music, food and performances. Local cocktails and cuisine are always featured, in addition to a variety of vendors and a beer garden.
The festival does its best to offer something for everyone, with events and activities for sports, arts, music, history and culinary enthusiasts. The festival features the largest rodeo in Hawaii, a film festival, a long-distance canoe race, athletic competitions, ice cream eating contest, cultural exhibits and a tribute to King Kaumualii.
The big party ends with a two-day hoolaulea, a traditional Hawaiian celebration including continuous live entertainment, food, vendors and a plethora of performances.
