On Oahu's north shore, Waimea Valley, which hosts cultural programs and seasonal events throughout the year, has announced its fall lineup of events.

The schedule includes Moon Walk on Oct. 25, when guests can visit the valley after dark; Arbor Day on Nov. 7, which will be a celebration of the valley's tree collection; and the Makahiki Festival and Te Moana Nui Games on Nov. 11, an exciting day playing games and sports while learning about the Hawaiian season of Makahiki.

Waimea Valley also has daily cultural programs, including live hula performances, traditional Hawaiian musical instrument displays, lauhala weaving, ukulele lessons and Hawaiian games. Visitors can explore 60 themed botanical gardens, learn about Hawaiian history and culture and swim at the 40-foot Waimea Falls.
