Description
Intimate, Charming Hotel housed in Victorian/ Colonial Residence dating from the 1840s.
Location and History
Cara Lodge was built in the 1840s as two different houses—a manor home and servants quarters—that were merged into a single unit in the 1890s by G. B. Forshaw, who would later become the mayor of Georgetown. It was transformed into a hotel a century later, and has since hosted the likes of Mick Jagger, Jimmy Carter and King Charles.
The property is located in the historic Cummingsburg area in the heart of Georgeotwn, a few blocks from St. George's Cathedral.
